Report of FTTP Gospel Trip to Eswatini 
(February 2025)

On February 3rd, three trainees from the Full-Time Training in Pretoria embarked on a three-week gospel trip to Eswatini. Their mission was to strengthen the campus work at Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) and to support the saints in expanding their existing campus outreach to the University of Eswatini (UNESWA), the country's major university.

During their time in Eswatini, the trainees focused on preaching the gospel across university campuses, with a particular emphasis on ECOT and UNESWA. Through their labour, the Christians on campus at ECOT grew even more, and a weekly Bible study was established on UNESWA's Mbabane campus. Additionally, they devoted time to building and strengthening relationships with the local saints, fostering a deeper sense of fellowship within the community.

The church life in Eswatini includes several key gatherings:

  • Thursday Night Campus Meeting at Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT), with an average attendance of about 35 students. Additionally, 15 to 20 students regularly joined the brothers for Bible studies and fellowship.
  • Saturday Neighbourhood Children’s Meeting (NCM), where around 20 children gathered for a Bible lesson and games.
  • Lord’s Day Meeting in Mbabane, held in a saint’s home, attended by 4 or 5 families, approximately 4 community saints, and about 10 students.

The saints in Eswatini have a deep burden for the increase of local believers participating in the church life, with the hope that the Lord’s Table and His testimony can be firmly established in the country. Furthermore, they are eager to see greater interaction between the saints in Eswatini and those in neighbouring South Africa—and possibly even Mozambique. A fire is burning in Eswatini. May the Lord stir up more hearts to take up this burden for His move in this small yet precious country.
